I totally agree, man! When I'm feeling adventurous I'll wear my singlet to the gym just with a hoodie over it. Most people probably assume it's just compression shorts until the hoodie lifts up a bit from movement. That's the only time I don't wear a jock to the gym.

It just depends on preference. When actually wrestling, I think jocks are helpful in keeping everything in place and protected. But some guys feel wearing anything underneath can restrict movement and freeball. And i agree it's more comfortable to go commando underneath when I'm wearing my singlet for any other reason. On my team there were a good mix of jock wearers, freeballers, and compression wearers.
