I was 12. Eigth Grade. Told to buy a jock strap for gym class. There were a couple of stores recommended. I chose J. C. Penney. Mens Department was on the third floor, the top floor, so not much traffic moving about. I had no idea of my waist size, since my Mom bought all of our clothes. A nice male clerk appeared as I was fumbling through the boxes of straps. He took one look at me, pulled my T-shirt up and announced, try the 28. The Bike 10 is the better quality. He pointed to the dressing room saying you can try it on in there if you like. The room was just a small space with a curtain over the entrance for privacy. I slipped out of my jeans as quickly as I could and after a bit of figuring out where the straps went, I pulled it up. The feeling was unlike anything I had ever worn and it looked terrific room's mirror. I started to "chub up" in the pouch. Suddenly the clerk pushed he curtain aside and told me to turn around. He reached over and pulled at my waist band and gave it a snap. Perfect fit, boy. You want to wear it home or should I box it up. Guess what I chose!
