My fiance who’s 28 doesn’t wear a jockstrap. But he told me in jr high and high school he did have to wear a jockstrap and none of his friends either he was born 1996.

I haven't seen jocks specified for long time in high school. It seems most states wearing compression shorts instead.

You don’t have to be Gay I wasn’t out for a very long time or was in denial thanks to listening to Catholic Church . My family were homophobic. It took me till 2017 to realize I needed an all inclusive church that actually loves everyone.
I do have a fiance now much much younger and we are happy.

My dad was the one who taught me how to wear a jockstrap and take care of it before jr high school. Washing it every Friday afternoon when arriving back home from school and hang dry. Once I was down with the procedure he took me to store one Saturday for secondary school jock and swimming jock he said I could wear anytime. Summers I’d see dad in his black speedo and wideband jock he loved the support and it showed above his speedo. Dad reminded me his your body and support is key.

I love that. I didn’t have that luxury. I had to find out about jocks when I was 23. That’s when my journey began.
Dad was Physical Therapist to the stars in Beverly Hills and Hollywood when I was younger so he worked hard teaching my brother and I what they didn’t teach us in school about respecting your body and safety. In jr high I was comfortable in lockeroom strapping up in PE and after showering with the classmates. In high school it’s funny the amount of jocks being worn got a bit less. But well after high school in regular gym I saw many 20+ guys coming in worked out in boxers and gym shorts or Boxerbriefs and gym shorts but never wanted to shower after. I proudly wore my jock in locker room.

See I want to wear my jockstraps, and man thongs in the locker rooms of the gym, but I’d be so nervous. I wonder what the guys would say.
Hey the jockstraps would be fine. What I did I wore my favorite 2xist jock to the gym but switched to bike jock to work out in. So what let the guys see most wouldn’t care. I got thumbs up from an older guy then me he was the only other guy jocked. 98% of the guys were in their 30’s- 55. At that time iwas 51.See I want to wear my jockstraps, and man thongs in the locker rooms of the gym, but I’d be so nervous. I wonder what the guys would say.

Do you have a favorite jock for MTB? When I strap up for a bike ride I find that the spot where the straps attach to the pouch causes chafing on my taint..... not good. Maybe I'm just wearing the wrong strap.

This is a real problem. I find that straps that have “longer” pouches, i.e. where the leg straps meet and are sewn to the pouch, are better for biking (which is what we do sitting). Like Shock Doctor, for one, fits us that way.
