Aside from that brief convo and moment in the showers, we don’t really say or do much except catch each other’s eyes.

I tend to be VERY reserved in the locker room because of a terrifying experience I had my first year of college. So initiating any phone # exchange or even joining any kind of shower action makes me uncomfortable. But I sense he’s interested. What do I do?

Another fun fact: he does not put a lock on his locker. So it would not be hard for me to drop a jock or a note or both in there for him to find at a later moment. But that might be a little creepy.

Thoughts? Advice?

Similar story for me - one of my best buddies growing up used to look at me and I’d look at him and thought he was into me for years then finally we told each other..he made a comment about my ass cause I showed it off a lot. Maybe ask him if your jock fits right or make a comment?

Don't ask him out "for a drink." You might ask him to go "have a beer" together. "A drink" is too sophisticated and not BRO-ey enough for a stranger.
Do NOT leave your jock in his locker with or without a note. That's coming on too strong. Try to have more discussions about jocks before you proceed.

Don’t just leave a pro, leave the one you actively wore that day. If/when he says something, just play it off as “oh shit, I thought you’d want to try the pro; meant to leave you a fresh one.” And see how he responds.
