EXCELLENT!, which cup do you-wear, that`s "comfortable-enough" to wear-every-day?.....................JAKE
Well funny you ask that. I actually wear a Shock Doctor. I know so many here hate/dislike them but, I just don't think they found the right ones.

I played in a gay hockey league for over 10 years and played almost daily. I've gone through A LOT of gear. The Shock Doctor current stuff out now I agree is hot garbage. Their stuff from 8+ years ago is MUCH better. My favorite compression shorts have an inner cup brief and are model 586 with their orange cups. They're definitely the most roomy without being overly obvious. I have well over 30 pairs of those. My jock fav is the 234 & 233. Those have the cups built in and are non-removable. I used to play in those and just wear them home. I had frequently, put them on in the morning, played in them, worn them them all day, slept in them, woke up the next day, and had totally forgotten I was wearing them. I reviewed them in 2018 on Amazon.
My review is by "Craygee".

I even kept my "battle-tested" cups with gashes from sticks, pucks, and cracks. I have a couple dented metal ones from being a tender.

Here are the pics of ones I actively wear in my bedside closet. I literally have vac sealed bags of stuff I don't wear anymore and sold a 40lb box of other Shock Doctor cups and jocks on sideline swap to slim down my collection LOL I was and am definitely a brand snob. 🤣

I have the SD with the cup built in also. I love that setup! I wonder why they stopped making them.

They got rid of it when the company was sold. They also got rid of their "x-fit" stuff or cheaped it down. In order to additionally slim down costs, they combined the McDavid lines and Shock Doctor inorder to make McDavid the premium line and Shock Doctor the Walmart brand. I really think they messed that up. SD always had better quality and just better stuff overall. Quality I guess is too expensive. It will be their downfall.

It summer, which means it is baseball time. Shock Doctor Ultra Carbon Flex cups keep the goods safe and produce a bulge that says "I am a man".
I'm totally confused by all the different ShockDoctor CUPS I'm hearing about. From what I've been able to gather elsewhere there's a SD «TITANIUM» cup which is supposed to be the RollsRoyce of cups but whenever I've tried to actually BUY one online if it shows up at all it's always «Out of Stock». Is there a differnece in SIZE as well as construction? Some of you seem quite happy with the COMFORT (read SIZE) of your SD CUP but WHICH SD CUP? The only SD cups I see in stores here in Western Canada are pretty ordinary-looking and PRICEY. — hardly worth the extra cost for something no different from the also-rans. The crappy-spotty supply of CUPS out here on the West Coast is both surprising and annoying. Would it be worth my while to travel down to Trumpland for a better selection and what BigBox store would have the best selection? I gues The Wall of Jocks is history now??? I get regular ads from the online store SportStop for WARRIOR brand cups — anyone ever wear one? Review???

I have the Shock Doctor Titan Alloy (titanium) cup. It is excellent for grappling and Krav Maga but I believe it has been discontinued. I bought it a while ago and it was expensive. Personally, the Diamond MMA Cup is superior and more comfortable. Like the Titan Alloy, it provides heavy duty protection.

For most sports, I wear the Shock Doctor Ultra Carbon Cup. It fits me well and is roomy, yet it is narrow so doesn't chafe your thighs. I play rugby and grapple and it does the job. The SD cups are available on Amazon. I attach screen shots. The are about US $14.

Thanks for the reviews. I th=ink you've convinved me to order the SD UltraCarbon and just to aasuage my curiosity and titllate me a little the Diamond MMA. When, decades ago, I was practising TAE KWO DO my go-to-cup was either a JOFA composite cup or the OBC in a Flaherty HD jock, which, in intense action, felt (and was!) more secure than the JOFA. Seems a shame about the demise of the SD TITAN though. Maybe I can find a nice «game-worn» one — ahem!

Ok, for the most part, the difference between the cups is mostly marketing. I added a picture of the base cups from SD and will explain below.

The SD titan alloy cups are relatively the same size as the ultra-carbon flex cup; except they are about 10mm shorter. It keeps the more stiff sides from digging into your thighs. Trust me it helps. However, fitment wise, I'd rather have the ultra-carbon flex.

- Let's talk about the pic I added for this question:
From left to right (all are Large cups):
1. Original Ultra-Carbon flex cup - Probably my favorite for fitment and heat/moisture reduction. The plate on the front cools slightly and most all your sweat will condense on the back of it and not inside your cup giving you swamp dick. It also does flex well and isn't as gimmicky as it seems. Feels like a comfy hand holding your junk.
2. 2nd iteration of theCarbon Flex cup (orange) - All marketing and just a color difference from the white
3. 3rd iteration of the Carbon Flex cup (new logo) - SD cheaped out. Made the protector plate have stamped carbon like markings and made it of substantially harder plastic that doesn't flex. Kinda defeats the purpose and doesn't condense sweat like the other two. Fitment is the same however.
4. Original BioFlex cup - MUCH slimmer, MUCH longer, no where near the encompassing height as the CarbonFlex cups, and squeezes your balls uncomfortably. Plus the long tail sits between your thighs and just grinds the skin away.
5. 2nd iteration of the BioFlex and looks remarkably similar to the carbon flex. It sucks. It's too long and the height too shallow. Throw them away.
6. Aircore cup soft - They are about the same dimensions as the carbon flex but have an added 3mm worth of padding around the plastic. Add on the cup pocket material and it makes for a much more cramped space. The well endowed won't like these anywhere near as much. They are super squishy and nice for light protection. However, these you don't need undies/jocks with a cup pocket. You can just toss them on and let them sit against the skin. They're that comfortable. I have quite a few that are directly connected to the jock and I love them.
7. Aircore cup hard - Same as the soft except the inner plastic protector is MUCH MUCH more stout. It's equally as comfortable.

Winner for me are the original Ultra-Carbon Flex cups or the Aircore Soft cups.

PS... STAY AWAY FROM THE "SHOCK DOCTOR SPORT" CUPS! Those are rebadged McDavid cups and are rediculously uncomfortable.

Absolutely not. Buy a set on ebay and have them shipped. If not, send me a DM and you might be able to convince me to part with one or two.

Thsnks SO much for this. It'll take a few days to process. Is AIRCORE a SD product or a different brand? I'm afraid my in-depth knowledge of «protective equipment» is a little out-of-date. Oh for the days before ad-sales gurus gave silly NAMES to products and then surrepetitiously CHANGED the product but kept the same name. Sounds like I'd really like the ««Original Carbon-Flex CUP but how on earth to KNOW which one is going to arrive, non-returnable, via Amazon or eBay??? In «the good ol' days» if you odrered a Bike #55 or #59 you KNEW you were getitng (#55) the one standard CUPOJOCK; or (#59) the classic swimjock and the SIZES were accurate! But even BIKE has done some pretty sleazy switcheroos! The last few BIKE jocks I bought (now with sleazy, sctratchy, double-over 2" waisbands) were labelled <XL> but would be uncomfortably tight on a skinny teenager. Finally, I'm a LUDDITE KLUTZ and would like to send you a «DM» but have NO idea how to do it. ALOHA!

It's an SD brand. It was meant to steal business from the Comfy Cup brand and was kinda well done.

They are all labeled "Cup Size: Mens Large". Regardless, if you're that worried I can chat with you about sending you game played one or funky/sweaty one. 😈

errr..had neglected to comment on the great pix B4.... As a teenager I had a dream of moving to Australia to live — I still have a «thing» about beaches and warm ocean water. Didn't happen. Then as an adult, on 2 separate occasions I had an «encounter» with young Aussie studs viiting Halifax, NS — both times turned out to be some of the best bounce-off-the-walls sex I've ever had but, alas, fate sent me many places but Australia simply wasn't in the cards. Years later, I began running into online stuff — SPEEDO (had drawersful of the old non-stretch nylon ones from way back!), AussieBum, CockSox, LadStrap, BudgieSmuggler, and then the hot porn sites like BentleyRace... well... if I were 20 again I'd be packing my bags! More later....
